Children’s Education Sponsorship - The Why
Honduras has low education indicators in Latin America and is one of the poorest.
Many children stop schooling early to help their families financially, leading to limited education and poor living conditions for over 80% of Hondurans.
Financial constraints prevent children from attending school, with over 90% needing to repeat grades in half of Honduras' departments.
Only 51% of children complete primary school, taking an average of 9.4 years.
13.5% of school-aged children lack access to education, with only 30% attending high school due to limited free education beyond the 6th grade.
